Design Week Philippines is the country's flagship festival celebrating local design, creativity, and innovation hosted by Design Center of the Philippines.
THE OBJECTIVE
As part of their activities in 2022, they wanted to highlight key cities in the country: Baguio, Cebu, and Escolta. The maps invite everyone to visit iconic landmarks that have played a role in the local creative communities.

PROJECT SCOPE
Map and Layout Design
Map and Layout Design
On it's 11th edition, Design Week Philippines centered on the theme of Designing for All. The event's brand identity featured bright colors inspired by the Philippine flag, cut-out shapes and photos, and dynamic typography.
I built a system derived from the branding and creative direction to build the maps and assets from. To create distinct area identities, each city has a primary icon, dedicated color palette, and textures and photos recognizable to each location.
The maps were primarily accessed through the Design Week Philippines website. Downloadable versions of the maps were available and designed to be home printer-friendly to make the map freely accessible.
Each destination had a dedicated page with more information supplemented by colorful collages of photos from each landmark.
These were also printed and displayed along the cities themselves to encourage visitors to travel to each location.
